Lovely room, lovely food and lovely staff. My memories of the abbey dale and other hotels are of really oldy worldy places. This is modern but would still appeal to the older generations. Friendly, relaxed but feels like a great place
My daughter treated us to a lovely afternoon tea......so nice to enjoy the stunning views and it's good to see a hotel in Sidmouth that is so welcoming to non residents....we will return
Attended a wedding at the Hotel, as usual the surroundings were lovely, Good service, food all served promptly and was nice. Quick turnaround time to change the room for the evening and good bar staff in the function room. Only point I would make is that the staff at the main bar seem to take quite a while to serve, even before it got busy in the evening, the wait was too long, more bar staff needed!Came back again for a Christmas party! Good service, food was all very nice, but drunks very expensive!
We had a great couple of days at Sidmouth Harbour. The location is great, the people are great, the food is great. There were a few issues in the room showing a need for a bit more maintenance but this didn't distract too much from a relaxing time.
The staff are superb and really make you feel special. My experience relates to staying in a ground floor courtyard room and the fact that you could hear all the sounds from the first floor and next door on ground floor. There was a wedding in the hotel. Dinner was ruined due to drunk and noisey wedding guests. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday don't stay in the courtyard rooms. We also had to park in a public car park at 6 a night.
