You might expect Poirot to walk in at any moment. Not quite that plush, but a true blast from the past. Sidmouth is charming, but very dull. My room was....adequate, but not really comfortable. It did have a door into the garden though, which is great for smokers. It's called The Garden Room, and it's a tiny single. I might go again, for the weirdness.
We recently stayed here as part of a walking group. The staff were polite & friendly, the food was very good & the hotel was comfortable. Also, Sidmouth is a gem of a Victorian seaside resort
A charming seaside hotel in beautiful Sidmouth. Extremely good value and a friendly atmosphere with charming staff to whom nothing was too much trouble.
Fantastic hotel full of history. Warm friendly staff, lovely food. Excellent facilities and just a short two minute walk to the sea front.
