Visited just before Xmas 2018. New owners just reopened after a refit. Sadly won't be rushing back any time soon. Very cold, no heating. A strange experience with the new "family" in charge occupying the only relaxing seats in the place watching the big screen TV. A clearer picture of the current state of affairs can be seen on "Colaton Raleigh Village" Facebook page and TripAdvisor as the reviews on there are more relevant to the new management, particularly the Facebook page. Best read those reviews as they do back up my experience. I have been going to this pub for 20 years, seen many landlords come and go but I have to say the latest is the strangest version of "Hospitality".... Basil Faulty on a very bad day! One warning though.... Don't cross "him" though.... You might be banned!!
Delighted to see the pub reopen for the village. Great selection of beers. Will be back soon to try the food . Still work to be done, but early signs look very promising. Wishing Lynn and Steve every success.

Really Great good, child-friendly. I've always had great meals here and they always try to accommodate children as much as possible. They have a great outdoor play area as well. It's conveniently located just down the road from Bicton Botanical Gardens, so perfect for a lunch or dinner out in conjunction with a trip there.
What an exceptional place for Sunday lunch. There are 3 sittings for this. Booking here is a must. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not one of them looked bored with their job. This is a large pub with plenty of seating. There are 4 or 5 meat options and also vegetarian options. Lots of interesting vegetables on offer. If you can fit it in there are dessert options too. Overall pricy but absolutely worth it. You will not be disappointed when you visit the Otter Inn.
