A good all round hardware shop in a lovely small seaside town
My wife loves this shop and always makes a purchase. Seems reasonably priced for good quality equipment
Went in a few months ago looking to purchase a bread knife. With the help of a very helpful and knowledgable member of staff, I was talked through the pros and cons of each brand and ended up purchasing the Robert Welch 32cm bread knife at an outstandingly good price - Much cheaper then anywhere else i looked, even online. A few months on and the bread knife looks as good as new and is still as sharp as ever. I was truly astonished at how friendly the members of staff were and appreciated the fact that they gave there honest opinions on the selection of knives present at the time. I left this shop with not only a smile on my face, but also a massive saving in the bank account. Could not recommend this shop enough if you're in need of any kitchen supplies or expert advice.
Great shop and products but I had an unpleasant experience a few years ago when returning/asking advice about my circulon saucepans purchased there. I had a new induction hob and had used the circulon pans a few times on it. The bases were looking brown, stained and I couldnt understand why as the hob is new and clean. Spoke to circulon and they said return them to where purchased. I took a pan along with the receipt to the shop to ask advice and maybe get them all replaced. Well, the older gentleman serving just wouldnt have it. Questioned me a about the use, examined that pan and went on and on about the quality of the pan. He then got out a cleaning substance (brasso!) and started using it on the pan. I was really taken aback by his ridiculous behaviour. I dont know how but I left the shop having purchased a tin of brasso! (Which didnt work). Have been back a few times to have a browse but Im very wary about purchasing anything expensive that may need returning!
Great shop!Have a very good range of kitchen equipment and the staff are very helpful and reliable.We often will pop in when in need of some baking bits, or a new pan, etc. and are never disappointedThe prices are also very reasonable for a small town store which is another plus.Not much else to add, it is a kitchen hardware shop and is very good at what it does.
