Visited twice in 2 days.. saw 2 different Dentists.. dealt with my teeth problems perfectly.. Both great dentists both great nursing staff. Practise manager was very helpfull as were both receptionists.

I hate going to the dentist and Im a nervous wreck even thinking about it, but this practice makes it very easy to attend for treatment/check ups. I have always received great care and service from Mill Street and after a recent visit I decided to write a review. My treatment over the last few years has been great and the work carried out last week was done quickly, fairly painlessly and with constant reassurance (asking me if I was OK, that I was doing fine). I think Ive been attending Mill Street since they opened for NHS patients. Yes, you have to wait for an appointment (they are a busy, popular practice) yes appointments have been cancelled at a moments notice (I think twice in seven/eight years), yes my dentist has changed over the years (as has my GP), yes you may not be seen on time at your appointment (as at the GP), but having a friendly, efficient and professional practice over-rules all of that. I visited this week for planned treatment - removal of an old filling and replacement. The dentist had talked through my treatment on my last visit, and offered several options. I arrived to a busy waiting room, reception staff were, as usual, friendly and welcoming, and I waited about ten minutes to be seen - this is the same as my recent GP and hospital appointments - we are never seen on time and dont expect to. I am sorry others have given poor review ratings, but I feel the service and treatment deserves full marks. (The fairly painlessly remark refers to my sensitive teeth and an injection - which was hardly felt)

If I could give Zero for this Practice I would, for the past 3 years it has been shambolic, its only saving grace is Lucy and Helena (Receptionist and Practice Manager) who have always tried to help but when you have seen so many different Dentists over the last 3 years all of whom I have to say have not filled me with confidence (I have always liked going to the Dentist and have never been nervous) they just don't seem to know what they are doing and no discussion with you, had rearranged appts, had cancelled appts on the day, short sharp shrift from one Dentist who put in a temporary filling in so quickly I didn't even realise, needless to say it fell out a few days later, I have finally given up despite giving them so many chances and trying to keep positive. I have timed my childrens check ups and they averaged 30 seconds in the chair, how on earth can this be a full examination for which, by the way, they book 15 mins for each checkup and therefore 45 mins booked for approximately 1min 30secs !!! I have taken all our family of 5 off their wholly inadequate Practice records for more reasons than above, but too long to bore everyone with. So if you read this in next few days you might get unlucky and get a place!!! They advised that My Dentist in Exmouth are taking on new patients but their reviews are just as bad!!!!!! I guess that's because people are leaving that Practice in droves too! I have spoken to numerous people who concur with my experiences here but apparently I was told by the Practice Manager that they have had positive comments recently, really? So make up your own mind of course and I wish you the best of luck.

I saw Roberta today and it was one of the best experiences I've had with any dentist and I've been to many! Best examination best explanation of the problem and also professional and friendly. Roberta put me at ease .Top dentist thank u .

Must say the receptionists Lacey and Lucy are extremely efficient and polite. They are friendly and helpful making everyone feel at ease. Full marks to both of them and also to the dentists especially Smitha for giving me my smile back!
